Terms of use
A straightforward outline of using CatchIt responsibly.
Last updated 27 October 2026 · Pre-launch draft
1. About CatchIt
CatchIt is a personal capture and retrieval app for notes, links, images, and supported files. This website introduces the product and provides guides and support information. Public store downloads are not yet available.
These are pre-launch draft terms. The legal operator, applicable governing law, eligibility rules, and any commercial terms will be confirmed before public app release. Questions can be sent to hello@getcatchit.app.
2. Your account
Use accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and only use accounts you are authorized to access. You are responsible for your activity and for protecting devices on which you remain signed in. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not email us your password.
3. Your content stays yours
You retain ownership of content you save. You give CatchIt only the permissions needed to store, process, synchronize, and display that content to provide the service. Saving someone else’s content does not give you ownership or additional rights in it.
Only upload material you have the right to use. CatchIt is not a substitute for an independent backup of important or irreplaceable files.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use CatchIt for unlawful activity, distribute malware, infringe other people’s rights, access another person’s account, bypass security controls, or disrupt the service. Do not attempt to evade reasonable storage, upload, or rate limits.
Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security threats, or legal obligations. Contact support if you believe a restriction is a mistake.
5. Availability and changes
Features, device support, and storage limits may change as CatchIt develops. Offline captures may remain on a device until the app reconnects; a pending capture is not yet a server backup. Some operations require a network connection.
We aim to provide a useful service but do not promise uninterrupted operation or that every error can be prevented. Any paid plan, renewal, cancellation, or refund conditions will be presented separately before a purchase. This website does not offer a paid subscription.
6. Third-party content and services
Links you save may lead to services CatchIt does not operate. Those services control their own content, availability, and terms. App downloads, when available, will also be subject to the relevant store’s terms.
7. Ending use and deleting data
You may stop using CatchIt and request deletion of your account. Save a separate copy of anything you want to keep first. The account-deletion page explains the available steps and what deletion covers. The privacy policy explains data handling and the current limits of this pre-launch draft.
8. Your rights and contact
Nothing in these draft terms is intended to exclude rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow to be excluded. Final legal and commercial terms will be available before public release.
For support, feedback, or questions about these terms, email hello@getcatchit.app.
